The PEM Crew, who are experienced Paediatric Emergency Specialists, Paediatricians, Paediatric Radiologists, Paediatric Surgeons, Nursing Educators and Nurse Practitioners with a wealth of knowledge in the field of Medical Education have all contributed to the design and development of these courses which are aimed at frontline Prehospital, Emergency, General Practice and Paediatric Teams involved in the care of sick children.

PEM Boss builds on the 2 day PEM course by providing an additional day, specifically targeted at Consultant level. This Paediatric Emergency Expert to Expert Forum is an innovative and interactive 1-day program of concurrent workshops that provides consultant to consultant facilitated round table discussions. I feel really proud to be involved in teaching on the PENS course. It has been created specifically with Paediatric Emergency nurses in mind, and acknowledges that Paediatric Emergency is a specialty requiring specific education. I’m also proud that the PENS course it taught by nursing staff, as I feel nurses have so much to offer with regards to education, leadership and innovations in practice.
