Jenny has devoted the last 29 years of her career to the Royal Childrens Hospital in Melbourne, with 25 years of these in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Paediatric Infant Perinatal Emergency Retrieval (PIPER) as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. She currently works with the PIPER and Simulation Team as a Clinical Nurse Consultant/Nurse Educator, with her core role in educating on the acute management and stabilisation of the deteriorating child. Whilst enjoying all aspects of Paediatric Intensive care Nursing, she has a particular interest in Resuscitation Training where she developed and embedded the ‘First 3 Minutes’ Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Paediatric Resuscitation (APR) Programs within the Royal Childrens Hospital.
She has completed her master’s in advanced Practice in Nursing and has been a APLS instructor for many years. Outside of work she enjoys playing golf and spending time travelling with family and friends. |
