Anndrea is a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with a passion for education and clinical development. Anndrea originally completed her general training at Cairns Base Hospital in 1989, then went on to complete her midwifery training at the Royal Women’s Hospital. Over a number of years, Anndrea was employed at several regional hospitals as a midwife and during that time developed a passion for neonates. She was appointed the Nurse Unit Manager, then Clinical Nurse Consultant at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in the Grantley Stable Neonatal Unit in 2002. She held that position until 2014 when she began her Masters Nursing Science Nurse Practitioner. Anndrea has worked in many nursing leadership roles such as research, education, management and patient flow so she is able to bring a unique perspective to her nurse practitioner role. Currently, she is working in a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner role which was developed specifically for a regional hospital.
Anndrea has been married for 35 years to her amazing and supportive husband and has one daughter who is 23. She also has several animals that keep her busy in her spare time. Anndrea enjoys camping and time at the beach. |
