Dr Lauren Schmitt

Lauren is an adult and paediatric emergency physician, working at The Prince Charles Hospital.  

She has had the opportunity to work in paediatric intensive care and retrievals, adult and paediatric emergency departments, and paediatric inpatient wards.  She has developed a keen interest in resuscitation, and aims to make every patient’s worst day just a little bit better.
Coming from a family of teachers, she has always had a love of medical education, and has enjoyed the opportunity to continue to develop skills in multidisciplinary simulation, clinical and simulation debriefing, and team formation and functionality.
 
Outside of work, she enjoys aerial arts, playing her musical instruments and spending time with her extremely patient husband and fur babies, Puck and Snug.
