​Alex is a UK trained Emergency Medicine Specialist who moved to Brisbane in 2015 to “spend 6 months” fulfilling a dream to work in helicopter retrievals…………… fell in love with Brisbane and has now made Queensland home.Alex graduated from Manchester (UK) in 1997 and spent time training in paediatric surgery before a career change to Emergency Medicine in 2007. He obtained specialist registration as an Emergency Medicine Physician with sub specialty Paediatric Emergency Medicine in 2014.
Before moving to Australia Alex was a keen underwater photographer being known to scuba dive in the cold grey waters of the Scottish and Welsh coasts and even in disused quarries, chasing that elusive perfect photo. The fact that he hasn’t managed to do much scuba diving since moving to a warm climate with clear water is something he intends to correct in 2019.
Alex is passionate about medical education and in the PEMrevision team has found a wonderful group of like minded colleagues, yet another reason to stay in Australia.
